First and foremost, HAPPY 2010 all…hope this year bring new hopes, lots of laughter, peace, love and joy in your lives…

 

From my last blog till now, I did many things and many things have changed...

 

Summary of things that I can remember happened since my the last blog…

 

Nov 2008 – Left my old company Kufpec, and joined my current company Mitsui…started to cycle to work with Dave…it was really good…I enjoy cycling…and I enjoy cycling with Dave and going to work together with him…on the bike …I think in Nov as well, we rode down to Freo and back…I nearly died…but it was good fun…

 

Dec 2008 – Attended company Christmas function, attended Edwin (one of Dave’s best friends) and Jing’s wedding in Melbourne and did some travelling in Melbourne…spent Xmas in Melbourne…and of course…shopped in Melbourne…

 

Jan 2009 – Worked late nearly every day at work rushing company Kessan (quarter end), audit, internal audit, SOX audit, etc etc…

 

Feb 2009 – Gave Dave a surprise 30^th birthday party at home…invited some of his close friends…It was good...Got him Coldplay concert tickets...a Pinerello bicycle jersey...a winter cycling jacket...we went for the Coldplay concert at the end of the month too...it was good...I enjoyed it very much...and I am glad that Dave enjoyed it too...

 

Mar 2009 – Went back to Singapore/Malaysia for a holiday with Dave…exciting part was my parents weren’t in JB…so the whole house belonged to Dave and me…and we had to drive around ourselves…but growing up in JB for 17++ years…getting around was not a problem for me… JJJ But a lot has changed though…roads, highways, etc etc…but the good food remains the same…went for the normal stuff that I would go for when I go back for a holiday…the first thing would be my favourite KOLOMEE…J Century Garden kolomee…what else…bakkutteh…ais kacang…Storey nasi lemak…kueh tiaw soup…oh my…I am salivating thinking of the food…Apologies for not looking all of you up…for I only had about a week in JB…and I didn’t have time to do much apart from eating and shopping…

 

From memory we were in Singapore for a couple of days shopping too…and not forgetting our must have Sakae sushi…

 

Oh ya, we actually flew to KL then JB, and then JB back to KL to Perth again…it was a pain…KL’s horrible! Never liked going to KL…the jam was horrible…don’t think we even went for a walk in KL…it was straight to the airport, and then back…and then back and straight to the airport…

 

End of March was the best days of Dave and my life too…we found out that we were going to have a baby by the end of the year…it was a shock to us, as we have been praying hard for a child too…I was diagnosed with PCOS…and hence, it wasn’t easy for me to conceive…I was also on medication for about 6 months for PCOS…and due to the medication, I gained heaps of weight…I think I gained about 8kgs just on that medication…I stopped taking the medication and gave up…stopping medication and continuation of my exercises made me lose back the 8kgs that I gained too…that aside…I believe it was when I gave up, submitted and decided to leave everything to God that He could take over… it was really a blessing from God…praise Him…

 

My life practically changed after finding out that I was pregnant…my usual habits changed…couldn’t cycle, play tennis, drink bubble tea (this was bad…but I controlled myself really well), eat cold stuff…gosh…my life really changed drastically…but just having the thought of having a little something growing in me warmed my heart enormously…still remember myself going to the ladies at work, just to talk to my little one…the scans that we did…when we saw him…kicking and turning in the womb…tears actually secretly collected in my eyes…it’s such a blessing from God…

 

May 2009 – Went on a company trip to the BHP mine site in Newman and Port Hedland…I also had to tell my boss that I was pregnant…the trip for me was really bad…with bad motion sickness that I already have, I was also down with flu…and I was pregnant as well, so I couldn’t take any medication apart from Panadol…but the trip was really beneficial for me…and I really enjoyed and appreciate the trip very much…an eye opener for me…visiting the mine sites and learning how iron ore are processed…gives me a better idea of what I am doing at work too…

 

Sep 2009 – Birthday again…this year birthday, I told Dave that I only wanted to invite a few close friends and I didn’t want a big crowd…and we promised each other that we wont organise anymore big birthdays for each other…going forward…but we’ll see…I’ll still want Dave to celebrate his birthday with some of his good friends though… J It was a nice cosy dinner with a few friends at Dusit Thai…the funny thing I remember for this birthday is…I had 3 birthday cakes!!!! 3 people brought birthday cakes!!!!! We stuffed our face with so much cake…it wasn’t funny…but it was all good!

 

Oct 2009 – Kessan again at work…plus I was busy handing over to the contract person who’s taking over my work while I am on maternity leave…so work for me was just talking and talking and talking…it was really tiring…plus I was already very close to my due date…but…I made a new friend in the process…hopefully there would be an opening for job for her after I get back to work…

 

Nov 2009 – The month finally arrived…worked for another week and was off work officially for 8 months from the time I was off…the wait can be quite unbearable…I was really excited to see the little baby…staying at home was boring too…with nothing to do…everyone asked me to rest as much as possible…but I didn’t really understand why…to me, it was…I AM SO BORED AT HOME!!!!! But now I understand why…

 

16^th November 2009, baby Zachary finally arrived…I’ll write up on what happened to update you guys in my next blog… J

 

I shall type off for now…have typed heaps…will type again the next time I find some time to logon to the internet… J

Thanks for the birthday wishes...oh ya, today is Daphne's birthday...Happy birthday Daphne... :) May all your wishes come true...God bless ya!

Just a recap of my birthday 2 days ago...had a bit of a disagreement with hubby a couple of days before my bday...so wasnt feeling overly excited...hehe...but yeah, everything was alright...and went to work as usual...company tradition...if it's your birthday, you need to bring in a cake...so bought a cake...had morning tea...and went to meet hubby for lunch in the city...and then back to work...

Thank you guys for all the messages sent...my phone beeped the whole day...and that really made my day to know that I am in your thoughts...hehehe...old friends...in Msia, Spore...thanks...you guys really made my day!!!!!

After work, picked Dave...and then he insisted that we went home to have a shower before going for dinner...I knew something was amiss...so went home...opened my birthday pressie from Dave...he got me a Wii console and a WiiFit...whoohoo...it was really fun mann!!! I started playing...and told Dave that I didnt wanna go for dinner...hhahaha...anyway, he MADE me turn off the Wii and we left for dinner...I knew he was gonna bring me for Japanese coz I told him I had a craving for Sashimi a few days ago...and BRAVO I was right...and I knew that he had organised a surprise for me...he invited friends to the dinner...and some of them, whom I have not seen for yonks!!!! It was a pleasant surprise...had lots of fun....enjoyed my day and my night...

Was thinking heaps the last couple of days...thinking of priorities...thinking of life...thinking about everything...I need to start focussing on what is important in my life...

ah...no time for that today...

22nd Sept...

It's a depressing arvo...the FC's off sick...I am not well myself...and a few other people are not well in the office...lunch time now...had my lunch...and just resting and thought of blogging...

Been rushing out stuff whole morning...coz I wasnt in the office last Friday...working non stop since I came in...finally lunch time...break...breather...

Whole weekend...practically just faced the books...did nothing...oh actually went over to help my sis move and unpack...coz she broke her leg...so cant really move heavy stuff...just helped her organise all the cables and wires and living room...so that they can have a proper place to relax for now...Pete's working 6 days now...so, basically noone can help clear up...the moving was a mad rush!!!! rented a truck from budget...and managed to squeeze most stuff into the truck...the moving was chaotic...lots of furniture to move and blah blah blah...also went over to Peter and Cynthia's place...helped them a bit with the floor boards...coz dave has done it before...so went over to help out a bit...dave was there whole morning and arvo...i only drove over on my own after studying in the evening...then went to church...church was good...Kelly spoke...and the message was really good...it's about being there for people...and let God do the rest...anyway, too brief my info...it's more than that definitely...whole weekend studied...and still cant finish module 4...arrghh...struggling to finish...it's a super dry unit...should have chosen a unit with more calculations than theory...dry dry dry...i prefer calculations...arrrghh...

Oh ya...Lu and Yung's baby came out on the 20th Sept too...havent had a chance to visit...been too busy all weekend...but sooner or later... :)

Gotta cheer up...gotta cheer up...been feeling too moody the last few months...just gotta cheer up!!!!!

16th September...moody arvo...

Today’s the 16^th September 2008. Tuesday…recap of today’s activities at work…rushing 2 reports due tomorrow…preparing month end stuff…rushing some insurance documents…had our usual update meeting…lots of stuff planned…chart of accounts, some historical database that we need to update, blah blah blah…

 

Feeling quite tired of life lately…work work work and work…study study study and study…feeling that life is a bit meaningless…

 

Last night watched Hotel Rwanda with hubby…devastating…whole night I was dreaming of the show…which means I didn’t really sleep very well…it’s really shocking and devastating thinking how cruel mankind could be…today at lunch time, googled the genocide and learnt lots of stuff happening in the world which I am so oblivious to…I feel that I have been taking things for granted…taking God’s blessings for granted…

 

Been feeling really down lately…due to health reasons…I wish I was healthier…there’s just so much I wish for…but due to my weak body, I cant get my heart’s desires…sigh…sad…but dave has been telling me that things happen in God’s perfect timing…which I believe too…just that at times, we as humans can get quite impatient…

 

This semester, doing 2 units again…just realized that I have another blog which I have typed and not posted…anyway, feeling tired lately with studies, work, etc…exams drawing near…yet I am still so far behind…not sure if I would be able to pass this semester…but hopefully with God’s grace like all other semesters, I would.

 

Work’s been rather demanding lately too…I think I mentioned I got a promotion…but not sure if I really want one now…I think my focus has changed a bit recently. I used to think I should focus everything on my career…but my focus has changed towards family…I really treasure all the quality time I spend with dave and my family…I love them heaps…

 

Not sure what I am going on about…I think I need a break from life…sounds quite bad…but seriously…need a break…a long break...

 

Hmm…better move on to happier stuff…went to Lu’s place…supposedly for her baby shower…but I couldn’t stay, so dave and I went a bit earlier…gave them the pressie and lingered around…nursery looks great!!! Plus, the mummy looks radiant too!!!!! Had the best pikelets…love eating the pikelets made by Yung’s mum…feeling quite excited at the arrival of the little baby girl! I just love babies…hopefully will have one of my own soon…

 

Went to Mel/Stein’s place couple of weeks ago…for makan…and she made some strawberry thingy…mixed with Contreau…yum!!!!! It was yummy! A bit hooked on it…but don’t think Dave would like me making them at home…he’s worried for my health… J but they were yummy…this weekend, going for their last weekend of singlehood party…apparently, there’ll be a slush machine with alcoholic drinks…hmm…sounds quite exciting, although I don’t drink much… J Following weekend is their big day…look forward to it…oh ya…gotta give a speech about mel too… hiak hiak hiak to mel if you are reading this… JJJ

 

Wow, blabbered on heaps today…shall type a stop here…hopefully more positive stuff to share the next time I blog…and hope that there wouldn’t be any negatives…

End of winter...

Once again I say...WOW...TIME FLIES!!!!! Its nearly the end of winter...

Busy at work with month end stuff...and CPA has started again...*SIGH*...was reading my last blog...saying I was waiting for results, gonna relax, blah blah blah...now it's starting again...the study routine...gosh...I cleared both my CPA papers last semester, and managed to score a distinction for a paper which is quite a pleasant surprise...was just hoping to clear my papers...but yeah, praise God!!!!!

Now the battle begins again!!!! Doing 2 more papers this semester, and it's taking the toil out of me...feeling quite SICK and TIRED of studying...but just gotta hang in there...be of good cheer and think of the pros of squeezing 2 papers in one semester... :):):) If I pass by God's grace, I have one more left and I AM DONE WITH IT!!!!! WHOOHOO!!!!!!

It's been a quick 5 months for 2008...

Did lots in the first half of this year...(although June's not over yet)...

Latest news...nothing much...just finished my exams 2/3 weeks ago...did two papers...results coming out in June...pray hard that I will pass both the papers...coz if i do...3 down, 3 to go!!!!! Gosh...i am sounding like i am a book worm or something...never ending studies!!!!! Really pray hard that I can finish everything ASAP!!!!! Tired of studying!!!!!

Been doing house renovations...changed the carpets in the rooms...replaced the carpets in the living area with bamboo flooring...replaced the blinds in the whole house...house is messy like anything!!!!! Havent been having normal lives since renovation started in March....just wanna get it over and done with!!!!!

Apart from that...work is good...requested for a pay rise and promotion...and bravo...its good news...boss said will take effect as of 1st July...so...am looking forward to that!!!!! Been working quite hard at work...but trying really hard to relax as well for the next 3 months...coz CPA's gonna start again in August!!!! So i better take it easy and relax while I can...

Its a long weekend this weekend....and I am so looking forward to the break!!!!! Just wanna do nothing!!!!! My parents are coming over in 2 weeks time too!!!!! Looking forward to that too!!!! I miss them so much!!!!! Miss my niece too!!!! She's coming over too!!!!! Whoohoo!!!!!

Nothing much happening these days...oh ya....praise report!!!!!!

We have been trying to reach out to an indonesian fisherman who got caught in Australian waters for illegal fishing....he is from Riau....he got caught, and was brought to the detention centre in Darwin....and was detained....ready to be sent back to Indo....he actually went into the Australian waters by only a few cms...or meters, not sure....and he was already caught by the australian authorities....he was sharing that the reason he went into the aussie waters is due to the fact that he was gonna get married when he got back after that fishing trip....and due to financial constraints...he really wanted to earn a bit more to at least have a decent wedding when he gets back.....unfortunately, he was caught....and detained....to cut long story short....he was in the detention centre....he was captain of the ship by the way....apparently, his crew under him....had harboured bad thoughts towards him....coz they were caught....due to the decision he made....so, to take revenge on him....one of them actually boiled a hot pot of cooking oil....and when he was sleeping, poured the boiling oil over his head.....so, his face and limbs and parts of his upper body were badly burnt by the oil....he was sent to hospital...and he managed to wake up in the midst of it...thank god!!! else he wouldnt be here today...and he couldnt go back to indo...was given PR status here...had to tell his mum that he couldnt go back....and felt so bad coz his mum thought that life here was too good that he didnt want to go back to them anymore....etc....he didnt tell his mum and gf what happened....he was physically in pain, and emotionally too...its sad....somehow, he got transferred to perth....we got to know him through our pastor....and visited him a few times....and then lately started visiting him again...brought him to an indo church....and he accepted christ!!!!! what a miracle!!!! he goes to the buddhist temple nearly everyday to pray........etc....but....he accepted christ last week....praise god!!!! he is gonna share his testimony again in church this week....its really good.......he said he never cried in his whole life after growing up....but when he stepped into the church.....he was sobbing.....

Hey guys...

Extremely sorry for not being able to meet up with some of you last trip back...My schedule was really jam packed...I really am sorry for I know that I was supposed to meet up with some of you but didnt...DUI BU QI....

I hope that the next trip back, I would be able to have a longer stay back in JB/Singapore...this trip I only had about 3 days...and I really wanted to spend time with my family...havent been back to JB for more than a year...hope you guys can understand... :):):)
